Patch & Pieces revamp pack designs for Mother Nature’s Recipes tea

The previous brand featured a logo of a mother holding a baby, with bold fonts and a two-tone pouch packaging design.

The new designs have a more handmade, crafted feel, featuring organic, flowing lettering and a large wordmark with beautifully curved letters on the newly designed box. Inspired by natural ingredients, the six tea boxes are adorned with hand-drawn foliage.

Elements of the ‘Garden of Eden’ concept include vibrant yet soft colour palettes for each flavour, tea boxes with windows to view the loose tea ingredients, and iconography of cups, teapots, women, plants, and fruits to expand their brand assets.

Kheyla Anderson, founder of Mother Nature’s Recipes, explains, “The rebranding reflects our growth as a business. I started it when I first became a mother, and like any business, we evolve. In this new chapter, we hope to support more women, be inclusive of all mothers, and become more environmentally friendly.”

Jennifer Falowo, creative director at Patch & Pieces, added, “We were initially asked to work on the branding but soon immersed ourselves in the journeys of motherhood and how this tea brand could better nurture and care for mothers.

“Our approach was to rethink the brand’s positioning, visual identity, and packaging, aiming to convey more care and compassion. It’s important for Mother Nature’s Recipes to encourage mothers to take time for themselves, and our second goal was to introduce sustainability by using biodegradable pyramid tea bags and eco-friendly packaging materials.”
