Paxiom’s New Peanut Packaging System Revolutionizes Delivery Process

Paxiom, a leading packaging solutions provider, has introduced an innovative turnkey bulk nut vacuum packaging system, revolutionizing the delivery process for peanuts. The system is designed to efficiently weigh, fill, and vacuum pack peanuts into 20-40lbs corrugated cases, streamlining the entire packaging and palletizing process.

The new system, aimed at enhancing efficiency and simplifying peanut packaging, offers an all-in-one solution for companies, encompassing the packaging and palletizing stages. This includes the EndFlex T-series automatic case erector for forming RSC corrugated cases and the EZ Tape automatic case sealer for secure packing closure.

WeighPack Systems contributes its high-precision net weigh filling system, featuring a vibratory triple pan configuration and a bulk and dribble system, ensuring precise and consistent peanut filling. The system’s central component, the WeighPack VerTek 2400 bagger vertical form fill and seal machine, facilitates gas flushing and vacuum sealing, preserving peanut freshness and extending shelf life.

Moreover, the system includes an EndFlex Z Zag robotic palletizing cell, offering comprehensive capabilities by automatically arranging pallets, slip sheets, and cases. This feature not only reduces labour costs but also enhances productivity.

An innovative aspect of the system is its utilization of roll stock film instead of pre-made bags, resulting in reduced storage space, shipping costs, and packaging waste.

This development follows Paxiom’s commitment to advancing packaging solutions, evident in their previous projects such as the high-speed seasoning and packaging system for Burts Snacks’ crisps products, introduced in summer 2023.

In a similar vein, SEE (formerly Sealed Air) unveiled the CRYOVAC Brand 308A CE Vertical Form-Fill-Seal System, an automated packaging system for liquids, offering versatility in packing various types of hot or cold liquids at a speed of 28 packs per minute.

In a more recent development, Volpak and Watttron have entered a strategic partnership to integrate intelligent digital sealing technology into horizontal pouching machinery, further exemplifying the industry’s commitment to innovation and efficiency.
