The QL-300 CMYK + White printer does just that. By printing white underneath the coloured images, you can now print transparent labels in-house that will not change colour when another colour is placed behind it.
For example, when an image of a yellow beach is printed with a CMYK inkjet printer onto a transparent label, and the label is applied to a bottle of blue hand wash, that yellow beach is going to turn green. By printing white behind the colours, the QL-300 eliminates this problem.
The toner is also durable, water resistant, and more UV stable than inkjet solutions.
