All-Fill are proud to declare another successful installation and integration of an example of one of our auger fillers, this time in conjunction with Line Equipment Limited. Our filler has been integrated and mounted onto the vertical form fill seal unit – using longer auger tooling to reach down into the forming tube and deposit product into the bag close to the sealing jaws minimises drop height, potential for dust creation and ensures a clean, consistent bag seal.
A single All-Fill International Limited Series 10 auger filling head can be used to fill multiple product types, (such as ground coffee and whole beans) with a quick and easy no-tools-change allowing different tooling optimised for different product types to be fitted.
We can fit nitrogen flushing ports into our hopper to extend the shelf life and freshness of the product and enhance the flavour by displacing oxygen from the product and packaging.
A level probe sends a signal to an automated feeding system which maintains a set product level within the All-Fill hopper – this ensures a consistent, settled density of product and ensures that the setup is not able to run to empty.
Finally, a downstream checkweigher can provide a signal to the auger to make small adjustments to the number of auger rotations for each dose, accounting for any variation in product density coming into the filler – minimising product give-away and allowing products to be filled to average weight legislation.
