Service and Installation Engineer

Job title Service and Installation Engineer Location Hereford Workshop and Customer Site Terms Full time Hours of work 7.45am – 4.45 pm Monday – Thursday 7.45am- 1.45pm Friday (30 mins unpaid lunch break) Early starts and late finishes and stayovers (hotel and meals all paid for) Overtime as and when required Engineers are an integral part of Autopack’ s business. As an Engineer for Autopack Ltd your role will be a varied workload of multiple types of packaging machinery. To achieve this, you will be driving to site anywhere in the UK in a company vehicle up to a maximum size of a 3500kg van. Appropriate clothing and tools are supplied. You will develop a relationship with the customer to provide a professional experience on behalf of Autopack Ltd. To this end a laptop and phone will be provided which is integrated into Autopack Ltd Teams system. This job role does include some overnight stays. Reporting to the Engineering Manager

Reporting to the Engineering Manager

Requirments –
• BTEC Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• HNC/HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

The role
Taking the lead on Installs
o single machine or full production lines
• Attending FAT and SAT with customers (at Supplier’s Factory or Hereford site)
o Reporting through FAT validation sheet to HQ
• Commissioning machines
• Problem Solving to achieve required outcome for the customer
o On Site – HQ and Customer site
o Via Facetime/Video Call
o Over a telephone call
• On-going customer service (after commissioning) either via phone/teams or in person
o With Management knowledge
• Mentoring Autopack Engineers
o Training
o Advice
o Supporting
o Guiding
o Problem Solving
• Full reporting after customer visit (breakdown, installation
• Liaising with Supplier’s Engineer (in person or over phone/teams or in person) • Supporting the Company’s ISO 9001 Quality System
• Delivering training to customer’s Engineers & Operatives after installation
• Servicing and providing ongoing support for installed machinery/lines.
• Liaising and ordering from Engineering suppliers
• Exhibition duties as and when necessary
• Any other duties that the management deem necessary.
