The 10-partner coalition of industry, academia and infrastructure associations will examine the practicality of collecting, sorting and treating compostable packaging via existing bio-waste collection and treatment routes.

TIPA has launched a first of its kind fully compostable coffee capsule lid, in collaboration with technology innovation company ATI. The lidding material, patent-protected by ATI, fits all compostable coffee capsules and coffee filling lines.

Tipa has launched a fully compostable and recyclable tray made from the waste product of rice. The trays, designed to prevent air pollution from burning agricultural waste, offer an eco-conscious alternative to traditional plastic packaging.

Bio4Pack will allow TIPA to provide three new additions to its range: paper packaging from agricultural waste, trays and nets. The deal also gives it a foothold in the Netherlands and Germany.

The company has successfully brought its breakthrough technology to market and has positioned itself as a world leader in the field.
