IOM3 Packaging Group & Mercury Search & Selection Presents: Future Trailblazer
In partnership with IOM3 and Mercury Search & Selection. This feature aims to recognise talented individuals, going above and beyond, to shape the future of packaging. By looking at both the biggest contributions to change in the industry, and the potential individuals may hold, our judges will be awarding recognition to those who are driving forces in making a wider change in industries beyond packaging.
Criteria
What are the judges looking for?
The judges are looking for outstanding individuals within their organisations who have been showing their potential to shine in recent years! They may have already solved some big challenges or have been making quiet revolutions happen step by step. Could this be you?
- Do you think outside the box to find innovative solutions?
- Do you leverage cutting-edge technologies and trends to drive forward-thinking initiatives?
- Do you solve problems before they arise?
- Do you share expertise and knowledge with your colleagues?
- Do you look for ways to optimise your companies supply chain strategies?
- Do you leverage advanced analytics and insights to make informed decisions which can maximise profitability and efficiency?
- Do you have a long-term future packaging goal?
Our judges will be looking for individuals who stand out as the next future packaging innovators! Feel free to submit for yourself or to submit for a colleague who you feel deserves it! The judges will be assigning awards to individuals who best fit the following criteria:
- Design for the Future
- Production Delivery,
- Sustainable Thinking
- Delivery Management
- Making it Happen

The Future Trailblazer Awards are designed to recognise outstanding individuals within their company who may be quietly playing their part – while also starting to show their potential to shine! We are keen to reward the potential in people from all areas of the packaging industry, understanding the fundamentals of packaging from a quality assurance, artwork coordination or production engineering role can provide the launch pad for a trailblazing role that will make a significant change to our industry.
you will be able to catch a train that travels direct to Birmingham International. It is then only a 15 minute walk to the NEC. Please try to travel via public transport if possible.

We’re looking for people who are relatively new to the sector (within their first 10 years in the packaging sector) who are already starting to show their trailblazer potential.
Entries close on 20th December.
No – The Future Trailblazers is a free-to-enter competition.
The awards are judged by an independent panel of industry professional from leading brands who are looking for trailblazers who are achieving the following:
- Design for the Future
- Production Delivery,
- Sustainable Thinking,
- Delivery Management, and
- Making it Happen
The finalists will be announced at the end of January.
