Spectra Packaging has recently developed new natural look packaging to their extensive range of offerings.
The new effects replicate a variety of natural finishes, including, wood, stone and cardboard to offer customers an organic look that is sure to provide a real point of difference.
One of Spectra’s preferred masterbatch suppliers were approached by a customer looking to emulate a natural look such as those mentioned above. As a result, working in partnership, both Spectra and their supplier developed a finish that provides a speckled, organic, natural look. This was achieved through combining innovative finishing technologies with a unique masterbatch effect.
Jonathan Powell, Sales Director at Spectra sees the new effect as yet another way Spectra can offer distinctive packaging to get brands noticed.
“Our new natural look capability is further proof that we continue to push the boundaries in rigid plastic packaging. Through innovative finishing and decoration techniques, we can really help our customers elevate their products in fiercely competitive environments”.
Available in HDPE and PP, Spectra’s new natural finishing can also be used in conjunction with PCR (Post Consumer Recycled) materials to give a more sustainable packaging solution, complimenting the natural look of the finished pack.
The new natural look finishing is the latest in a range of groundbreaking techniques developed by Spectra over recent years.
These include advances in foil blocking for HDPE and PET, a revolutionary 360-degree circumference print offering, an embossed raised print finish for a tactile outcome, anti-counterfeiting inks that will illuminate under UV conditions and Braille printing to name a few.
Mr. Powell went on to say, “We take decoration and finishing extremely seriously. We believe it can often make or break a product, which is why we have developed a host of effects that produce outstanding results to compliment our custom tooled and standard range packs”.
