Spectra Packaging are delighted to share the news that one of our customers has won an award at this year’s UK Packaging Awards.
Lancashire based contract manufacturer Expac Limited won the coveted award for Contract Packer of the year 2015 at the ceremony, which was held at The London Hilton on Park Lane last month.
The award is the result of a huge amount of hard work, which has seen the firm go from strength to strength over the past twelve months. During this time the company has maintained profitability, found new business and increased staff numbers. Their commitment to the UK packaging industry has clearly been rewarded with this prestigious accolade.
Interestingly, Expac were nominated for the ‘UK Contract Packer’ award for the second time in three years at last month’s event. Two years ago, when they were last nominated, they came second and were named as the ‘Highly Commended company for 2013’.
This year’s awards were attended by over 600 guests from all across the UK packaging industry and were hosted by comedian Simon Evans.
Expac, is a family-owned business, which was established in Lancashire in 1980. Starting out as a contract packer to the retail trade, specialising in gift-packing, the company has grown to focus on the manufacture of household and toiletry liquids and powders in bottles, tubes, jars or bags.
Jonathan Powell, Sales Director at Spectra enthused, “We are absolutely thrilled for Expac, this prestigious award is testimony to all the hard work and dedication they have carried out over the past 12 months. We wish them continued success and are delighted to be associated with them”.
