This year was RAJA’s debut at the Environmental Packaging Awards, which celebrates innovations and individuals who make a real impact on sustainability in the industry, and what a way to start our awards season! Both entries took home Gold and made RAJA the only double Gold winners of the night. Climapack took first place for Chilled and Frozen and the same for Climaliner for Pet Food.
RAJA are always working to improve our CSR activities and offer customers the most sustainably sound packaging choices. And this award ceremony offered the opportunity to present our innovative solutions to a panel of impartial judges and see how we fared in the wider sector. The Climaliner’s unique honeycomb pattern and paper structure makes for a recyclable but effective way to keep products cool in transit. Our Climapack kit is entirely paper-based and fully kerbside recyclable consisting of a recyclable box and two Climaliners. Compared to EPS boxes, our Climapack box stayed cool for an additional 3 hours. 35 hours of insulation vs. 32 hours for the EPS box. Not only is the Climapack ecologically better than the alternative, it also saves space, money and staff in the process, since the customer receives both components, the box and liners, already pre-cut and pre-counted to the number of boxes required and delivered on pallet. RAJA are the first to market with this brilliant solution for thermal packaging and are proud of the result and recognition. So far the Climapack has received two nominations at the upcoming UK Packaging Awards, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates!
