Brambles, a global leader in supply chain and logistics operating through its CHEP brand, has been ranked by TIME Magazine as one of the world’s most sustainable companies.

Reaching #4 position on a list of 500 companies, Brambles led its industry category and was the only company in the Transport, Logistics and Aviation sector to rank in the top 100.

Aiming to highlight corporate responsibility and promote sustainable practices, TIME Magazine’s inaugural list was compiled following rigorous methodology. Statista, a global data and business intelligence platform, assessed some 5,000 companies around the world based on more than 20 key performance indicators, ultimately awarding 500 companies for their transparency and commitment to sustainability goals and initiatives.

Juan Jose Freijo, Brambles’ Chief Sustainability Officer, said: “We are proud to be globally recognised by TIME for our sustainability performance. The high-ranking result for Brambles affirms the critical role of our circular business model and the power of our sustainability programme in driving ever more sustainable outcomes across the supply chain.

“Our programme is designed to create a positive impact beyond our own operations and, together with our partners and customers, we are pursuing a regenerative vision to create a positive impact on business, planet and communities,” Dr Freijo said.

The ranking by TIME Magazine follows several other sustainability achievements and recognitions this year for the company, including retaining #1 position in its industry category in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, and being named the second most sustainable company in the world by Corporate Knights’ Global 100.
