Yorkshire Packaging Systems Ltd, the UK’s leading supplier of shrink wrapping equipment, are delighted to announce their installation of a side feed sleeve wrapper and shrink tunnel into the Stockport-based factory of EHL Finest Natural Ingredients.
EHL are the foremost supplier of spices, seasonings, herbs, seeds, dried fruits and nuts to the UK, supplying scores of well-known food brands and manufacturers. They source only the most superior products from around the world and also have their own on-site blending facilities for creating bespoke blends of delicious ingredients.
EHL’s packaging operation consisted of various foods being wrapped in trays on a semi automatic shrink wrapping machine. As this machine aged EHL found that it was becoming increasingly unreliable and more worryingly, the back up and support for it was virtually non-existent. After hearing about their reputation for robust and reliable equipment, backed up with award-winning support and service, EHL did not hesitate to purchase from YPS.
An SVA 60-35 side feed sleeve wrapper and TR 65/100 shrink tunnel, complete with upgraded steel mesh belt, was supplied by YPS in May 2018. The change from semi-automatic to fully automatic equipment has been a significant future-proofing step for EHL, who are now experiencing a much faster throughput and absolute reliability from their machines.
